The RO Laser offers the ability to total cut, kiss-cut, score cut, perforate & slit the web in continuous, start-stop and tracking (cut parts longer than cutting area) modes with cut speeds up to 5080 mm/sec and web speeds up to 100 M/Min. It is the ideal dieless laser cutting solution for just-in-time manufacturing & short-medium runs and is well suited for converting high accuracy components from flexible materials including label stock & PSA, double sided adhesives, gaskets, plastics, textiles, difficult abrasive materials & even aggressive adhesive materials like VHB that typically adhere to the cutting blade. The laser beam is concentrated on a very small spot (0.05-0.21mm) and exerts zero pressure on the component allowing the material to keep its original shape.

The RO Laser Converting System can be equipped with a 100, 200, 300 or 400 Watt CO2 laser (2-Axis & 3-Axis) which offers a reliable, precise beam that results in a clean cut edge without burn marks or discoloration, no melting of adhesives from excessive laser heat and is ideal for small angle cuts, sharp corners & small diameter holes – virtually ANY GEOMETRY. This system allows laser cut web widths as narrow as 6mm with work areas available from 250mm, 350mm, 600mm and 1,000mm @ very high production rates with typical accuracies of +/- 0.05mm.

The special photocell allows precision cutting of improperly positioned materials with cut-print registration & the encoder controls the exact feeding, speed and positioning of the material. Through the PC workstation, you can manage all the parameters of the laser station, optimize layout for maximum web speed and yields, control laser beam for defect-free cutting, convert graphic files to be cut & reload jobs & all parameters in seconds.

The cornerstone of all Guidolin Girotto products are the modular designs which offers extreme flexibility & rapid product changeover. Keeping this in mind, the RO Laser system was designed so it can be adapted to the standard Rotary Die Cutting Machine solid steel structure so one system can be used to not only process very difficult materials & geometries but also the traditional materials commonly converted on a rotary machine - or when the product reaches the market and laser cutting is no longer the logical solution for high production runs.
